En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, il existe <strong>une petite douzaine de films<\/strong> et <strong>plusieurs \u0153uvres litt\u00e9raires importantes<\/strong> qui portent <strong>exactement<\/strong> ce titre, en fran\u00e7ais ou en anglais. C\u2019est un long r\u00e9cit, tr\u00e8s romanesque, rempli de f\u00e9es, de secrets de naissance et d\u2019intrigues de cour. Le conte que nous connaissons aujourd\u2019hui vient surtout de la version abr\u00e9g\u00e9e par <strong>Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont<\/strong>, en <strong>1756<\/strong>, qui simplifie l\u2019histoire et insiste davantage sur l\u2019\u00e9ducation, la morale et les vertus de Belle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Par la suite, plusieurs auteurs reprennent <strong>exactement<\/strong> le titre <em>La Belle et la B\u00eate<\/em> ou <em>Beauty and the Beast<\/em> pour des pi\u00e8ces, romans ou albums&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>J. R. Une jeune fille, souvent appel\u00e9e <strong>Belle<\/strong>, accepte d\u2019aller vivre dans le ch\u00e2teau d\u2019une myst\u00e9rieuse <strong>B\u00eate<\/strong> pour sauver la vie ou l\u2019honneur de son p\u00e8re. Elle a peur&nbsp;: la B\u00eate est monstrueuse, sa voix est grave, le ch\u00e2teau est sombre et inqui\u00e9tant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Peu \u00e0 peu, Belle d\u00e9couvre pourtant que la B\u00eate n\u2019est <strong>pas m\u00e9chante<\/strong>. Au contraire, elle se montre <strong>polie, g\u00e9n\u00e9reuse et attentionn\u00e9e<\/strong>. Elle lui parle avec douceur, lui laisse de la libert\u00e9, lui offre une belle chambre, de bons repas, des cadeaux. Ce qui semblait une prison devient un lieu o\u00f9 peut na\u00eetre une v\u00e9ritable amiti\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En apprenant \u00e0 se conna\u00eetre, Belle et la B\u00eate d\u00e9couvrent leurs peurs, leurs blessures et leurs qualit\u00e9s. Belle s\u2019aper\u00e7oit qu\u2019elle est plus libre qu\u2019elle ne le croyait&nbsp;: libre de dire non, libre de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir, libre d\u2019aimer ou non. La B\u00eate, elle, apprend l\u2019humilit\u00e9, la patience et le respect. Petit \u00e0 petit, ils passent de la m\u00e9fiance au respect, puis du respect \u00e0 l\u2019affection, et enfin \u00e0 l\u2019amour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un jour, Belle d\u00e9couvre le secret&nbsp;: la B\u00eate est en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 un <strong>prince victime d\u2019un sortil\u00e8ge<\/strong>, et <strong>seul un amour sinc\u00e8re<\/strong> peut le d\u00e9livrer. Quand elle lui avoue qu\u2019elle l\u2019aime \u00ab&nbsp;telle qu\u2019elle est&nbsp;\u00bb, sans attendre qu\u2019il redevienne beau, le sort se brise.
